CapitaLink Partners Inc. is an advisory and investment firm, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Since 2019, we have provided Japanese and multinational corporate/investor clients with advisory or investment services in various types of capital market transactions, leveraging our partners' many years (80 years combined) of experience at global investment banks (Salomon Brothers, UBS), asset management firms (Alliance Bernstein), accounting firms (KPMG), and strategic consulting firms (Bain).

Our strengths lie in our unique ability to link capital seekers with capital providers in bespoke ways where (and because) an established marketplace does not readily exist. In addition to advising the seeker (eg. corporations) or the provider (eg. asset manager) of capital, we from time to time mobilize our own funds and act as principal where deemed adding value to a transaction.

Our focus areas are

Startup and Growth Capital:
Despite the rapid growth of the Japanese VC market seen in recent years, we still see significant unmet needs in cross-border situations. We fully take advantage of our partners’ in-depth personal network both with entrepreneurs and angel investors in Japan as well as overseas to provide solutions to startup or growth-stage investees.

Special-Situations / Corporate Restructuring / Investor Engagement:
Our partners have industry-leading and award-winning track record in special situations since 1990’s through numerous periods of market dislocation. Clients are often placed in financial stress requiring bespoke and innovative solutions cutting across the full spectrum of capitalization from debt to equity that need to be tailor-made and privately negotiated. In addition to financing solutions, we also provide strategic support for corporate management in investor engagement.

CLP is registered as Type II Financial Products Business Operator as well as Investment Advisor with the Financial Services Agency of Japan under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
